Christie Perego is the proprietor and executive pastry chef at Vanilla Moon. Her vision was to serve the finest baked goods in an equally delicious environment. Christie started out as a marketing executive for Elizabeth Arden in London and quickly found that she enjoyed spending more time out of the office preparing meals, baking and exploring new restaurants, bakeries and specialty food shops. She moved back to the Bay Area and enrolled in the California Culinary Academy’s Cordon Bleu program. She has worked as a pastry chef and consultant at many restaurants throughout the Bay Area as well as in Texas, Chez Panisse, being the most noteworthy. Her passion from a very young age has always been cooking and baking and she is happy to share it with all. What started out as a side business for friends out of her parent’s kitchen, quickly grew as word of mouth spread. Soon the dream of a specialty bakery was in sight and with a lot of passion and help from family and friends, Vanilla Moon was born. Our family and staff are happy to share our passion for sweets with all.
